Supporting Futures are recruiting on behalf of a specialist domestic abuse charity for an experienced Domestic Abuse Service Manager to lead the delivery, development and quality assurance of domestic abuse services across safe accommodation, community and outreach provision.

This is a varied operational management role with responsibility for leading teams delivering services to adults and children affected by domestic abuse. The successful candidate will ensure services remain safe, trauma-informed, person-centred and compliant with safeguarding, contractual and quality standards.

You will have responsibility for a multidisciplinary team including Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Outreach Workers and support staff, with duties including supervision, performance management, service and rota management, quality assurance and maintaining safe staffing levels.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the day-to-day operational delivery of domestic abuse services
• Line managing, supervising and developing employees and volunteers
• Overseeing caseloads, risk assessment, safety planning and case management
• Managing safe accommodation alongside community and outreach services
• Leading quality assurance, case audits and continuous service improvement
• Monitoring service outcomes and producing reports for funders and commissioners
• Developing effective partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations
• Representing services within MARAC and safeguarding forums
• Acting as a Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Contributing to Domestic Homicide Reviews and organisational learning
• Leading and developing domestic abuse and safeguarding training
• Contributing to strategic planning and service development
• The role also carries responsibility for health and safety across the service, financial monitoring and supporting funding, tender and grant submissions.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience managing or supervising employees within domestic abuse, safeguarding, housing, social care or a related support service
• Strong knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control and trauma
• Experience of risk assessment, safety planning, safeguarding and multi-agency working
• Experience managing services supporting vulnerable adults and children
• Strong knowledge of MARAC and domestic abuse risk management
• Experience of data collection, monitoring and reporting
• The ability to lead teams and manage competing operational priorities
• Strong partnership-working and communication skills
• A commitment to survivor-centred, trauma-informed and inclusive practice

Experience managing IDVA, outreach, refuge or other specialist domestic abuse services would be particularly advantageous.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work and participation in an out-of-hours rota.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to travel across multiple service locations. An

Enhanced DBS including Barred List check will also be required.
