Hourly Rate: £13.70 - £17.50 depending on pay status

Supporting Futures are recruiting on behalf of a specialist domestic abuse charity for Dispersed Accommodation Practitioners to provide practical, emotional and housing-related support to adults and children living within dispersed safe accommodation.

We have a number of full-time and part-time opportunities available:

  • 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday - fixed term until June 2027, with possible extension subject to funding
  • 28 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, 9am-4.30pm - fixed term until 31 March 2027
  • 22.5 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday - fixed term until 2 June 2027

You will provide practical and emotional support to people affected by domestic abuse, helping residents remain safe, maintain their accommodation and work towards future independent housing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting adults and children living within dispersed safe accommodation
  • Completing needs and risk assessments and developing appropriate support plans
  • Undertaking safety planning with residents
  • Completing regular visits to dispersed properties
  • Supporting residents with housing, benefits, welfare rights and access to community services
  • Supporting referrals and admissions into dispersed accommodation
  • Ensuring housing, support, tenancy needs and risks are regularly reviewed
  • Supporting residents to move on into suitable temporary or permanent accommodation
  • Liaising with statutory and voluntary sector agencies
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential case management records
  • Supporting safeguarding and health and safety within dispersed properties
  • Reporting and following up repairs and property-related issues

The successful candidates will have:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults and/or children
  • Experience within refuge, hostel or supported accommodation
  • Experience following safeguarding policies and procedures
  • An understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on adults and children
  • The ability to assess needs and develop support plans
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
  • Experience working effectively with external agencies
  • The ability to maintain professional confidentiality
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a wider team

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential due to the nature of dispersed accommodation work. Candidates must also be willing to work flexibly, including occasional weekends, and will be subject to the required DBS checks.
