Supporting Futures are recruiting for an experienced Outreach Support Worker to join a specialist service supporting survivors of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking across the Northwest.

This is an immediate temporary opportunity within an established outreach service that is currently experiencing increased referral levels. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can join the team, quickly take ownership of a caseload and provide high-quality, trauma-informed support to individuals with potentially complex needs.

The Role

Working from home with regular travel across your allocated area, you will manage a caseload of survivors of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, providing practical and emotional support based around their individual needs and circumstances.

Face-to-face engagement is an important part of the service. All clients must be offered the opportunity to meet with their worker in person at least once per month, alongside telephone and remote contact where appropriate.

Caseloads are approximately 1-15 clients and can include individuals with complex needs, requiring a practitioner who is confident working independently, managing risk and responding appropriately to changing circumstances.

You will also attend a monthly team meeting in either Liverpool or Manchester.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience supporting survivors of Modern Slavery and/or Human Trafficking

  • Experience managing an outreach or community-based caseload

  • Confidence supporting clients with complex needs and managing risk

  • Experience completing assessments, support planning and ongoing case management

  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to respond appropriately to concerns

  • Experience working with external agencies and professionals to coordinate support

  • A trauma-informed, person-centred approach

  • The ability to work independently from home while remaining connected to a wider team

  • The ability to travel reliably to client visits across the allocated area

  • Availability to start immediately or at short notice

A driving licence is not essential for this position, provided you can reliably travel to client appointments. Candidates using their own vehicle for work will need appropriate business insurance.

This role would particularly suit an experienced Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking practitioner who is comfortable stepping into an established service, picking up a complex caseload and providing additional capacity to a busy team.
